Living close to the sparkling sea and the magnificent Southdowns, the little ones have an endless playground of nature's wonders at their fingertips. Picture them building sandcastles on the golden shores, feeling the gentle sea breeze through their hair as they laugh and play. And when it's time for adventure, the majestic Southdowns beckon, inviting them to discover hidden trails, wildflower meadows, and breathtaking views. Whether it's a day of seaside fun or a trek through the rolling hills, Worthing's outdoor wonders promise boundless excitement and unforgettable memories this Summer!

Monday 24th July - Worthing Leisure Centre Summer Camp, Southdowns Leisure
Southdowns Leisure are running a series of Summer Camps for children aged between 5 - 12 years old. Locations and Times may vary. Visit the Southdowns Leisure website for full details on all the clubs on offer.
Wednesday 26th July - Worthing Thunder Basketball Summer Camps, Durrington High School
Worthing Thunder regularly run half term and school holiday camps for kids aged 5-16, looking for a fun way to develop their basketball skills. Your son or daughter will be taught by qualified coaches, many of which will be your favourite players from the Men’s team. A great way to learn, make new friends and keep them active and off their screens during the school holidays. Visit the Worthing Thunder website for full availability.
Saturday 29th July - Dad La Soul Playdate For Dads and Kids - Beach House Grounds, Worthing | 10:00am
Dad La Soul is a revolutionary, grassroots movement, that uses the arts, music, tech and play to tackle social isolation in dads and kids. They have invited the brilliant Brighton Beach Punch and Judy to entertain us at Beach House Park in Worthing on Saturday 29th July from 10am - 12 noon.
Saturday 29th July - Classic Car Show, Steyne Gardens, Worthing | 11:00am - 6:00pm
The Worthing Lions car show with over 150 classic cars from a range of decades, scooters and BSA Bantams are all coming to Steyne Gardens with live commentary and era related music from Seaside Hospital radio. There are a few motor related stalls and food stalls to keep you going!
Saturday 29th July Worthing Pier Fireworks | 9:30pm
Worthing Lions are bringing back the summer fireworks at 10pm on Saturday 29th July 2023 with the funfair and market, making for an exciting fun filled evening with entertainment in Steyne Gardens from 7pm to 9:30pm. This is a FREE Event - Voluntary donations will be collected by Worthing Lions Volunteers on the evening.
Wednesday 2nd August - Worthing Play Day 2023, Broadwater Green, Worthing | 10:00am - 3:00pm
Worthing Play Day, part of the national Play Day coming back to Broadwater Green. There will be an enormous variety of children’s activities, entertainment, refreshments, music and much more! A fantastic family day out for all to enjoy. Visit the website for further details
5th August - Worthing Regatta, Splash Point, Worthing | 11:00am - 5:00pm
Worthing Regatta is being held between 11.00 – 5.00 on Saturday 5th August, along Splashpoint, east of the pier. Many clubs from all along the South coast bring over 50 boats to Worthing to compete in over 20 races throughout the day. Food and drink is available from Worthing Rowing Club, so why not head down and join in, have a day on the beach and watch the racing. Just make sure you cheer for Worthing Rowing Club crews!
8th August - Summer Holiday Street Dance Day, Lyndhurst School, Worthing (ages 4-7, 8-13)
Bringing a taste of authentic Streetdance to Worthing for all abilities, ages 4+, in a Fun, Energetic and Positive environment! Visit the website for details on how to book.
Friday 18th August - Picnic in the Park Tarring, Tarring Park, Worthing | 11:00am - 3:00pmPicnic in the Park @ Tarring will be back again this summer, bigger and better than ever, on Friday August 18th, from 11am – 3pm in Tarring Park. New this year, a music festival will follow, from 4pm – 7.30pm, featuring talented young local bands.
With free entry and free or low-cost rides, events, demonstrations and games plus crafts and stalls from lots of local independent businesses, it’s a great day out to have fun with the family on a budget. Visitors can bring their own picnic but there will also be stalls for food and drinks – and ice cream of course! Saturday 19th August, Art Not Landfill Exhibition, The Rooms, 1st Floor, Guildbourne Centre | 10:110am - 4:00pm
An art exhibition with a difference. Over 20 artists displaying their artwork made from recycled or found materials. The venue is a modern setting on the 1st floor of the Guildbourne centre situated in town centre of Worthing. Come and have a look. It’s free admission.
24th - 28th August - SpyMonkeys Hairy Comedy Show - Worthing Pavilion Theatre
SpyMonkey’s Hairy is the first show created especially for young people by Spymonkey, the UK’s most hair-larious comedy theatre company. There will be screams of laughter. Slippery shampoo.
